Talking Hello from Watauga... - 01-13-2010, 02:08 PM

Hello everyone. I'm known as Sheribeari. Photography has been a life long passion that for many years could not afford to indulge in. Blessed is the technology that brought us digital. Now I don't have to worry about developing and can take pictures of what I want and as much as I want. I raised 6 kids and have 9 grandkids now. I also have a good sized group of nieces and nephews. I enjoy taking portraits of family, but my passion is wildlife and landscapes. I look forward to an exchange of ideas and techniques with this group. Thank you for allowing me to join in with you!!

Cost of developing and film over time used to be expensive for some people on a budget.

I know thats right. It is the EXACT reason that I didn't shoot for nearly ten years between the times that I moved out of Mommy's checkbook, and bought my digital.

Sheribeari,

Well, digital or not, I plan to keep developing...into the best photographer I can be. I hope you will, too, cause that's a good reason to be here at TPF.

the camera has been a long time dream. Shortly before he died, my father-in-law said he would get it for me for Christmas.. then he died just before that. When we got the inheritance my husband told me to go on and get it. So got the camera body, 2 lenses + multiplier and flash. Gotten a few small things since... remote trigger, portable reflector and some backdrops. Still want to get another small lens. Not sure yet which one. Dog (German Shepherd) just had a total hip replacement, so can't get anything until that is paid off.

Wow ... You jumped right in with full equipment and everything ...

Sorry to hear about your Father In Law, and it was nice of your husband to suggest it. I have a feeling your Father In Law would be more than happy to see you get the Camera he had promised in the first place.

Enjoy the site ... I am recent too and I enjoy this site alot.
