If you got a disc with your camera you probably should install the Canon software onto your laptop. You can download images using the cord, but a dedicated card reader will download much faster. If your laptop is fairly new it probably has one built in.

Well the laptop is from early last year, I got 3 discs with the Canon, and ran them, but all I get is a website for information about buying a DSLR, no other info, I cant find anything in the laptop that says these discs were installed. Mystery to me?

Well, I am still having terrible trouble d/l my pics into the computer. I have almost given up...my husband is much better at this than I am, so when he gets a day off, he will be trying it himself. He calls me 'blondie', no offense to anyone with light hair....its just me. Anyway, if you ever have time or want to see what the eagles are up to, go to
http://www.baytownbaldeagles.com
there are some great new pictures from the people who are there at the site everyday. Apparently, the eaglets have not hatched yet. And from the articles I've read, these eagles don't mind the people or traffic around them. I have over 200 pictures of them, but just need time to figure out what im doin wrong. Thanks for listening to me lol..

Michele, my wife and I are heading over to the Eagle site in about 30 mins, bring your laptop out and I'll take a look. We'll be in a mocha metalic Honda Pilot, I'll have my canon 70-200 on my camera.
Steve
