Hi there. I am so happy to have found this forum. I will be moving to Austin in a few weeks. I love people and pet photography, though of late I've also had fun going to the farmer's market and photographing summer produce. You can see some of my work on my website. Are there any photography clubs or meetups in Austin? I would love to meet some fellow photographers and go shooting. About me - I'm almost 40. I've been shooting for nearly 9 months. I love my 7D, but it's possible I may love my 5D just a tiny bit more :) I have 2 German Shepherds and will definitely be posting pics of them. Also 2 kitties who hide when the camera comes out. That's all I can think of right now. I just wanted to pop in and say hi! |

Hey! Austin is a great city! We are having a workshop there in a few weeks. A couple sections are only $99. I LOVE Austin!!!!! I would move there in a heartbeat except that My ex and my son are here and that would kill my time with him on Wednesdays and limit the weekend time together too. :( I get down there as much as I can. There seems to be a ton of thigns to do there. I'm into old Hot Rods and there is a pretty large following of that in Austin too. It's cool to be running around town and see a random 1928 Model A built the way the would have built one in the 1950's pass by. Also the music, the food, people seem to be geared toward fitness to a point so there is phyiscal activities to take part in. Also the scenery in and around Austin is great for Photography! You have new city areas, old city buildings, lakes, rivers, outside Austin close by there are small towns with courthouses and downtown squares, hill country.... the list goes on and on! Austin is Awesome! |
