Hey Linda! Welcome. I come through Comanche several times a year on my way to Brownwood to visit the amazing Heather Nix (heatherlou here on the forum). I bought a chair for the studio from one of the antique stores on the square last time I was there. :)

We'll have to have a GTG down your way for all of the Comanche/Dublin/Brownwood/Sidney folks. (Not that I count, I'm up here in DFW LOL)

I met Heather Nix at the TXPPA Convention in 2009. Well when your down our way give us a shout I am sure a GTG could be arranged. I attend the FWPPA at times. The last 7 months of last year were crazy and I wasn't able to get anywhere but hope to get back to the meetings soon.

I'm at FWPPA now myself (since June).. try not to miss a meeting.. so far, I've been successful.

I think the last one I made was the May, I became a member in 2008 went amost every month I had some medical issues and just general didn't feel well, had to put some things on hold and photographer was one of them. I am 100% better and so ready to get back to my passion.

I'm also a neighbor over in Brownwood.
I've been a photographer, on and off, for over 50 years.
I'm a "fine arts" photographer....never could call myself a professional (never made 50% of my income in photography).
I've shot a lot of nice scenes around Comanche County.

Welcome from Frisco! I caught your posts and thought I recognized the face. Thanks for the intro post. I probably spotted you at TPPA stuff...
Speaking of...going to IUSA or TexasSchool?

Peter I attend as much as possible TPPA and Summer seminar various other classes. Speaking of IUSA my son joined the marines and is scheduled to ship out next week so no IUSA this year. My priorities lie with my family first and Texas School falls around the same time he graduates in San Diego CA so no Texas School. My husband has asked me several times if I am ok missing these this year and well swearing in the marines and graduation is a once in a lifetime IUSA and Texas school is annual. So I will be there in spirit. Learn alot and post thoughts and ideas for those of us who can't attend.
