Hi everyone,

I've been in Houston for almost all of my 32 years of life. I just started shooting a couple months ago and quickly figured out that this forum is THE place to be! My head can't begin to compute the number of years of photography experience is on balance at this forum. There is some really fantastic work going on here! I look forward to talking to you guys!

I have the perspective of someone that has previously never had anything better than a Canon Powershot SD100.

I made an impulse purchase after reading an article about the A33 in the New York Times of all places and subsequent reviews on DPReview etc.

It is small enough that I don't mind carrying it with me everywhere I go and it feels perfect in my smallish hands. The controls are intuitive to me, the EVF looks great, and I've been perfectly happy with the images it has captured so far.

I've been doing the Strobist thing, so I wish my Sony had a standard hot shoe and a faster native sync speed (1/160), but those are about my only complaints.

If you are ever looking for hotshoe adapters check out Flashzebra.com and if you have any Sony questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thx for the tip! I got a couple adapters and swivel brackets from those guys. Super cheap plastic though, swivel handle broke when my stand fell over. I'm sure that never happens to anyone.
