I've never really used forums before but I guess it's pretty straight forward. I'm Michael, I'm not super new to photography but I'm by no means a pro. I love taking pictures of people and cities. I live pretty near the museum district so I tend to go on a lot of one man photo walks around there but I am looking to branch out. There are so many interesting places in Houston but I really don't know where most of them are or when the best times to go are.

I have a Canon T1i (500D) with a 50mm 1.4 and an 18-55mm. I also have a small flash unit and a tripod. When I go to shoot I usually just take the camera and the 18-55, sometimes with the flash if I know I might need it.

I would love any feedback or suggestions, so please leave comments or message me. I'm not really sure what the most efficient form of communication is on this site.

Welcome. I understand your plight about forums. It takes a bit to get used to the format of each. If you'll look down in the section called Texas Photographers you'll see a section called Houston. Therein you'll find locations for photos of different types in and around Houston.
