New to TPF - Montgomery,TX

Howdy!

I'm Jerry and new to the Texas Photo Forum! I have been doing photography for awhile now and am always looking to learn. I'm am interested in learning more about photography whether reading a book or hands on. I am always hungry for knowledge, always asking questions,honest and hard working. I love to be around people, make them laugh and make them feel good about themselves, because with photography all of that can be achieved just by pushing the shutter button and capturing that moment in time.

I started doing photography in high school, then progressed to photographing for the local fire department, then decided I wanted to try doing photography on my own. I have been blessed to meet many wonderful and outgoing people while doing photography. I look forward to meeting you on the road of life!


If possible, I would very much like to learn from another photographer one on one whether by assisting or as another photographer on a shoot or part-time.

Thanks John! Nice to meet you! Are there any groups of photographers that meet up around the Montgomery/Conroe area? Or anywhere close by like an informal group get together?

There is a group that meets up in the Cypress area off Hwy 6 and 249. I know it's not super close to you but that's the only one I know of. Head down a little in the forms and look at the city pages. A lot of meet ups get posted there.

Welcome Jerry! I head to Montgomery as often as I can. (My son, daughter-in-law and grandkids live in Walden.) As a matter of fact, my wife and I will be moving to Huntsville by the end of May. So I am going to have to find new photo locations.
