Hey everyone, I'm Tonya from Katy and to celebrate getting a new lens in the mail I figured I would finally de-lurkify myself a bit. I've been around a while and am so appreciative of everything I have learned from all of you! Really, you guys have encouraged and taught me so much.

Might seem a bit pitiful to most of you, but today I finally upgraded to a kit lens for my Rebel from the old lenses from our 35mm days. I've always been of the mind that with the right kind of determination a person can still do a lot with a little, but the possibilites of a wider angle and better aperture is already exciting.

I have a nice little list of the gear I'm saving for next, although in the meantime I'll keep studying the recommended books and all the CCs that are posted - it's amazing what you can learn by 'listening' to your betters.
