I have been casually into photography for 20 years and have become much more involved in the last 5 years or so. I have always used Nikon equiptment, except for a couple of Canon point and shoots that I have owned in the past 10 years. My first digital camera was a Fuji S3. Then I purchased a Nikon D50 as a backup. Then up to a D700 and finally a D300s as a backup, although I have a hard time now determining which of these awesome cameras is truly the back up. I hope I can share and receive information from this forum, and thanks for having me.

Welcome John.
The back up camera is the one you bring along, luckily you get to change that around.

Welcome from Frisco.

As to which is the backup, that would be a tough one. I would tend to think the DX frame would be the backup, but the D300s has some fine features.
