Hey everyone, my name is Rick. I am currently in the Army and stationed in Kuwait. When I found this site, I got really excited. Not only is it a link to a lot of great information from great photographers, but also a link back to home.

I got my first camera, a Rebel XTi, during my second deployment in Iraq. I loved taking pictures and thought that being deployed would give me a great opportunity to take some of Iraq. After my first deployment, I kinda fell away from photography due to personal reasons.

Now on my third deployment, I decided to sell my XTi and upgrade to a 5DMkII. And what an upgrade it is. Knowing how amazing this camera is inspires me to take it wherever I go and photograph everything. Everywhere I look, I see great opportunities to take photographs.

Now that I have found this site, I cant wait to get home and meet some of the great photographers that are in my area. I look forward to all the wisdom and knowledge that you all have to give.
