Hello from South africa - 06-24-2011, 01:03 PM

Hi everyone... also loving photography and still very much an amateur. I have a major brain block when it comes to the technical side of my camera- but he seems more patient than I. Think I've been a member for a week and already facing those tech blocks (through with the assistance from other members!)
Anyway- glad to be here- Xx

Welcome! I'm a bit jealous of you. There is so much to shoot around Joberg. I was fortunate a couple years ago to spend a week at Sabi Sabi.

Remember that while the techie stuff is important, it will come as long as you keep trying new things and learning... keep on having fun!

Yep... Boulder Beach :)

Shot these back when my 4 Megapixil camera was the bomb (Canon 1D). I've kicked myself several times for selling it. I would've made a great infrared camera!

I used to be nervous around penguins (blame the Joker)... but friends took me to Boulder beach about 2 years ago to face the critters-- needless to say they were flirty and charming and I fell in love.
Ok- so back to my tech brain block... what is an infrared camera?
