My name is Eric, and I'm a Business Management/Music Business major in college. I'm from New Jersey, and have several hobbies which include but are not limited to: music, working on cars, rc cars, building and maintaining websites/forums/blogs, and now photography. I have very little background in photography, but after tinkering around with my mom's Canon DSLR, and my girlfriend's 60D, I have found much joy in it. I've been playing around with full manual, but it takes quite a bit of tinkering to get what I want. I'm here to learn as much as possible about my camera and photography in general. I recently ordered the T3I in a bundle (will post everything its coming with when I get it), and will study the cameras manual for weeks while playing with the settings. I like to photograph mainly cars, but will shoot pretty much anything if only for the experience of doing it. So yes, this is pretty much me and my very limited knowledge and background in photography. Any tips/tricks/accessory suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk |

Eric - Welcome, if you're shooting fully manual and am trying to learn at the same time, check out "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson, it's an excellent book that is highly recommended here and other forums. Sorry for the double post, I just wanted to post what I'll be getting when my Camera comes.
And a bunch of random equipment like a 57" tripod, cleaning kit, screen protectors, case, flash, etc. I got it as a bundle/kit brand new from a place out in Brooklyn. It wasn't the greatest deal in the world, but I missed getting the deal I wanted by about 4 hours, so I settled because I'm impatient and wanted the camera before this weekend (car meet/cruise). |

Thank you! I got my camera in the mail yesterday, and I spend all last night playing with it and taking pictures. More playing today, and taking pictures tonight at a local Car Meet. There should be tons of cars there since the weather is looking good, so I'm stoaked! |
