HI.
I'm really new and am pretty nervous about being in the company of such great talent, but I'm here to
learn & be
inspired:)
I've been shooting a wee bit more seriously since about when I realized that I possibly inherited my mother's "eye" for photographing. Evidently, it's in the blood because our oldest daughter is fabulous with her camera, as well.
My love for taking pictures began by photographing what I refer to as "All About...." Old delapid barns, farming equipment, fences, gates, wooded areas, interesting homes, porch swings, wind mills, cattle, clouds, storms, and the list goes on.
Then, I fell in love with taking pictures at the car shows - LOCAL shows! Much more fun & personable in my opinion <3
I love the angles, headlights, taillights, the curves, license plates, interior and
so forth.
1/4 or 1/8 mile races are the best, too ...
While at these events, I began taking FUN candid pictures of adults, parents, families, children, toddlers, and elderly. I don't mind the posing-say-cheese type, but I LOVE a more moment-capturing candid!
Profiles are one of my faves.
And, as odd as it sounds, I photograph funerals & memorials, pretty good, too. I've done that for a few family members who wanted the (selective) memories. Such as speakers, the flowers, the presentation of the flag, etc.
Texas Photo Booth was my first name choice for my little hobby/business. Just recently I discovered the ORIGINAL Texas Photo Booth, who is ALSO in north Texas! So, it was time to get legal...When I came up with LeslieSerena Photography. Personal, professional, and unique.
I currently use a SONY Mavica CD1000. An oldie, but a goodie!
My backup camera is a Casio Elixim.
I also utilize a simple photoshop program to maybe boost a picture, or soften it, frame it, etc....
My full-time career is in law enforcement, which started in 1991.
Currently, I am a Master Peace Officer.
Finally graduated with my Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice with Honors last year @ 40 years young - National Dean's List and Phi Theta Kappa.
My husband & I have 2 fantabulous daughters who are a result of our raising & are blessings in our lives.
