Hi there! My husband and I are new DSL users... you know, one of those that plan a trip (honeymoon) ... buy a relatively good camera at the time (D300) and do not know how to use it... LOL We finally signed up at a local class to learn the very basics.. and armed with this D300 (his) and an older D80 (me)... we're out to learn and share with others interested in photography. Welcome to the forum! Don't know what part of town you're in, but Houston has several meetups around town (Midtown, Sugar Land, Katy, and Willowbrook). We also try and put together several photowalks, and lots of people are around to help with shooting, composition, and whatever you need. It's a little harder to get people together around the holidays, but keep an eye on the Pixtus events calendar! --------------------------- You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. ~Frank Zappa |
