I hate to tell you this, but if you enjoy taking photos with your camera, then you're a photographer, even if you don't earn your living from it. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Martina! So where is Savona located? I've been to the tourist spots of Florence, Rome and Venice but would love to visit other places some day. Italy is such a gorgeous country!

Hello Martina, i'm not an official Italian. But I was born in Vicenza, Italy back in 1963 while my father was stationed there. I did go back in 1982 when I was stationed in Germany to see where I was born. It is a beautiful country. Welcome to the forum. : )

I'm SO jealous! I have a realative that was from Italy and I really want to go. Until then I have to settle for Google Street Maps and I can pretend I'm driving down the streets

You should definitely make a trip there David! My husband and I went on a 12-day tour for our 25th anniversary a few years ago with Globus (fantastic company!) and went to Rome, Florence, Venice, Luzerne (Switzerland), Paris and London. Italy was by far my favorite country, beautiful and historical everywhere you looked.

Thank you!

Savona is located in Liguria region, near Genova. Liguria is in the north-west of Italy, borders with Tuscany, Piemonte, Emilia Romagna and France on the west.
In Liguria you can find a lot of small villages on the sea, and very close there is also mountains and hill.

I recommend some villages of Savona's province (but is only a little example:

Varigotti and Finale Ligure

Albissola Marina is famous for its pottery, called "bianco e blu" (white&blue)

Albenga has an important medieval old town centre

Thank you all! :)

Benvenutta
I had the pleasure of living in Rome for a year and fell in love with your country.
Welcome.

Welcome from Plano, Texas.
Grandparents were from Naples and Caserta way back around 1900 or so.
