Hi. I got my DSLR about a year ago, and attended several basic courses, but I still consider myself a newbie. I recently was transferred here in Houston, and maybe this will be the place where I can hone my photography skills (if I have some)

I hope to learn a lot from this site and maybe join your photowalks so I can get some tips and learn from the pros. My goal is to be able to post some of my shots to forums and blogs someday and be proud of 'em... and of course, meet y'all hobbyists and enthusiasts and have fun at the same time.

welcome to Houston. If you have the time, a great resource for improving your photography is the Houston Photographic Society. There are no meetings in Dec but we pick up again in January.
