Hi Guys- joined up because I'm looking for community and education around 8mm and super 8mm cameras, collecting and shooting. I'm totally new to the scene but I've spent weeks doing research about what cameras might be good learning cameras. I chose the Nizo S-560 fro my super8 and a Bolex H8 for my 8mm. I've spent weeks shopping around for the cameras and just bought the last one today. I got a Bolex H8 for $77. which has the lenses and it seems to be from a 90 camera buffs estate. I flipped on how lucky I was with this one. The Nizo I bought from a Super8 shop in Germany and paid for $116. The Bolex will definitively need servicing but the Nizo should be good to go. If anyone knows of a place or person in the Bay area that services Bolex please let me know. So hope my intro wasn't too long but I'm excited to find this forum. I'll get my profile up in the next few days.

Welcome! Hopefully you can get the help that you need, although I don't know anything about super8.
