Excited to join this community. I'm a photographer and a software engineer. I love taking pictures of old motels and other things from the past. Bringing together my two passions, I also write apps for photographers.

I don't know if you've been to Spokane recently, but there used to be a motel on the west side, just off I-90 called the Starlite. Don't know if it's still there or not, but that might be a fun one to take pictures of. I threatened to take my wife there on our wedding night ("But honey, it's only $2.95 an hour AND for only an extra five bucks, they'll throw in the video from the camera behind the mirror!...")

Hahaha, this sounds like my kind of place! Love the story! I've never been to Spokane, but it's on my list. Perhaps you've been to Aurora Avenue North in Seattle -- it's like a museum of old motels. Try not to go there after dark with a camera though, just in case :)
