Hello all! My name is Caitlin and my business is Caitlin Taylor Photography. I have lurked on the board for about six months but felt maybe I should just come on and introduce myself!

In addition to photography, I also am a fulltime nursing student set to graduate in July, and a fulltime single mom to two little boys, ages 4 and 9 months.

I have been taking photos as a professional (for profit) for a little over a year, but was portfolio building for almost a year prior to that. I expect to soak up much more information and learn from you all on this site. I have recently broke into wedding photography after being a secondary all of last year. I am currently using my very basic Canon Rebel with my primary lens being my 50mm 1.4. I plan to upgrade to a 7d or mark ii in the next month or so. Any insight to that decision is more than welcome! I do LOTS of portrait work, and have about 10 weddings booked so far in 2012. My Rebel is HORRIBLE in low-lighting, so I need something that is much upgraded in that aspect. I also only shoot natural light right now, but will need tips and pointers in flash photography for those indoor weddings (I have yet to book one yet, but i'm sure it will happen).

Welcome. I'm actually just up the road from you in Sanger. I have a small business doing video and photo projects on the side. Cinema-Works

Definitely go for the 5d mk2 if you are needing low light quality/mainly doing portrait type work.
