I am new to this group. The cheat sheet offer got me.

Started my Photo Hopp in 1961 when the Air Force had a free Photo Lab fo us in Columbus Ohio. Yes I'm that old and still a novice. In fact I'm too young to be this old.

I have been my own boss for years. Retired a short time ago and have come out of retirement to earn a little extra money. I am a Private Process Server and a Licensed Investigator. Thus I need a camera by my side most of the time to document what is going on.

I do not have much knwledge about equipment and so cause for the last 5 or 6 years I have been using a point and shoot.

Most of the things I shoot are of paintings my wife has done and teaches. I do her pattern packets, videos and so on.

Of late I hve been having fun with a Microsoft Life Cam mounted in my truck. I shoot approaches and exits with it. As I approach the door of my target I use a covert pocket pen to get conversation and identy. I combine the approach, auctual serve, and exit and document my action and archive it so I'll have it for court.

I want to get a SLR but need input on what to get. I like to purchase the best buy for the money even if it is used.

I will not be this talkie on the forum mainily cause I don't know anything and I just set back and watch.
