Hi everyone... I been lurking here for a few days and love it :) My name is Loana I am a 27 year old mom of 3 boys aged (4), (2), and (1)   been married for a bit over 7 years!Anyhow I am a scrapbooker and with that I learn to appreciate photography a bit more... when I had my second child I really started trying the home shoot kind of deal for him... with my powershot A75 canon ;) I started getting a lot more interested in photography so hubby agreed to buy me the Canon rebel xt in late July... I have the basic kit ense and the 50mm 1.8 which I love and rarely use the basic one I am trying to learn as much as I can everyday when the kids allow me, hehe ... I also try to shoot in manual about 85% of the time!I still need to buy a flash and start buying the studio stuff slowly..I have a place to set up my studio but I need to buy it slow as I am not wanting to charge the credit card. I just did my first shoot for a customer this past saturday (quinceañera)and boy was that hard LOL.... really bad light at their backyard at nigth and just my dinky camera flash.. the DJ did not help with all those lights and smoke he kept putting out LOL I have a newborn session coming up in November as well... the C-section is schedule for the 14th.. and I have a birth picture deal for sometime in February! anyhow looking forward to meeting you all!!!! Welcome aboard! We have monthly get togethers in the Sugarland Area (Stafford) in the SW Dog club (a photo club, not a canine club). The next one was supposed to be tonight, but got cancelled. Check the Houston section for a thread. Show up to the next one and meet us all. We share tips, etc. |

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!!!!! I am sure I have seen that place before in Stafford... as a newlywed I used to live close to there off mula rd in a townhome complex and I also have gone to HCC Stafford campus which is right there! I would love to be able to attend a meetup! Thanks again! |

OMG Tamara!!!!!!! wohoooooooo I am so happy I found you here :) I am doing good ;) boys are keeping me sooooo busy lately LOL.. what's new LOL... I did my first quinceañera for a customer and did a casual shoot at khema boardwalk for her this past weekend.. still proofing the pics and will show "the mom" on the weekend! How have u been? BTW Thanks so much for the drops you gave me a while back :D I have been using them with the boys shoots :) |

Doing well... Girls keep me running like crazy, they are in EVERYTHING... you wouldn't believe how big they are now. Glad to see you are still working on the photography. Are you still in nursing school? Post some of your photos and people here will give you a good critique. They are very helpful. Have a great night Tamara |
