Hi there, I am a father of three cheerleaders, we had our first competition 3 weeks ago and I want to be able to take some great shots of them in action. But they (the cheerleaders) are far away and moving! So my Casio Exilim is not quite what I need for this. Sure it's 5mp, but its 5mp of blurry headache inducing pixels! So I asked around and all the good photographers I know said to check out this website.

We have competition this weekend and I have an old Minolta in the drawer at home I'm going to try to get out and dust off, Maybe even get a new lens for it.

I'm going to do some serious searching on the forum before I start asking questions, a forum this size probably has alot of answers waiting to be found.

thanks!

Welcome Chris
Depending on the Minolta model you have, as long as you can control shutter speed, you should be ok. adjust your ISO to about 400 (since you said "dust off", I'm assuming that this is a film camera???. how close can you get? Do you have a zoom lens?
