G'day Folks!
Oh sorry, wrong part of the world.
Howdy! Is that any better?
So, I happened to be in the neighborhood and saw this place.....and it's very nice. Very Very nice.
Actually I'm developing my own site and a few people had linked to here and it's been a great source of inspiration as my site is all about underwater photography.
So, this is where I give a rundown on the equipment:
Nikon D70.
Lenses: 12-42, 18-70, 70-300 (these last two mostly for topside stuff ie on land), 60mm micro, 105 micro and 200mm micro (still waiting for that last one, only a few days now! yeah, baby) and a 10.5mm FE! Sweeeeeet.
Flash: SB800.
All this fits into a Nexus housing for being in the wet stuff with a range of ports to fit the macro and wide angle lenses. UW I use Inon flashes / strobes which come in at about 3x the cost of the speedlight! Top-line is, if you want to get into underwater photography, sell the house, family and organs. It's not cheap and the spending never stops.
But underwater photography..........is great fun.
So, enough of that, the other reason I registered is because I occasionally find myself in Plano! (I'm sure I heard at least one person there whoop 'YAY'.) Anyway, as somebody from DFW once told me "There's a reason Plano is so called". I didn't know what he meant

Now, I know that that one Yay fellow is thinking

but hey, here's the challenge; next time I'm over I'd love to bring the camera so point me in the right direction with places to go to get some Grrrrrr-eat pictures and I'll willingly oblige and post them up.
In case you hadn't noticed from the profile etc, I find myself stuck right in the middle of England. Today the weather has been mostly sunny, rainy, dry, wet, foggy, slighty cloudy, cold and warm. but hey, that's the UK for you. Last time I was in Plano (August) there was a drought, bizzarely parts of England also have a hose pipe ban!
Anyway, there you go.
Cheers all (yes, as an English man, I have a drink in my hand - although you may be surprised to know that it is an Australian Cab Sav red wine - lovely).
