Houston neophyte

Hello everyone:

My name is Larry(aka Beaux) and I'm new to this forum and new to photography, having purchased a Rebel XT last month. I use three lenses an 18-55 kit lens, an 18-125 zoom and a 70-300 zoom. I received an early Christmas present from my wife recently, a Manfrotto tripod and ball head and absolutely love it. I also have a Fuji Finepix S5000 that I have used for a couple of years for snapshots and am now learning that it is actually a pretty decent camera.

I found this forum and want to learn as much as I can and participate in some local photo shoots where y'all can teach me a thing or two or three.

I particularly like nature, landscape and architecture photography but I plan to dabble in all areas. I also particularly like infrared work.

Attached is a copy of a recent image taken at a small park in League City, TX.

Any and all help is humbly welcomed and appreciated.

Hi Ashley:

I'm in Clear Lake. The shot was in the Park across from a small Wells Fargo bank building and a church. Lots of people go there for wedding photos.
