Well what shall I say about myself.

I have just recently become more serious about photography. I have always taken a ton of snapshots with whatever camera I had. Of course I'd also have lots of undeveloped film lying around the house as well.

A year or so ago I got my digital camera and I love it. I first started using it to take pictures for my program (I'm a choir teacher) and then the last six months or so I have been taking pictures for me. I started a photoblog a few months ago to force myself to get out and take pictures and it has been great. This site will be a great resource for ideas on shooting locations.

I currently have a Canon S45 and will probably have it for a while. (See: occupation :P) but I love that little camera and I am lucky enough to get some good shots with it.

that photolog sounds like a great idea. how did you get it started? is it very difficult to maintain?

thats how i got started as well... with my Photo A Day Project... i posted a pic everysingle day for like 8 months straight. and in that 8 month time period i learned a TON!!!

Well, I got started gradually. I have a regular blog (weblog = online journal) and I would post pictures on there every once in a while. As I started getting more interested in the pictures I was taking and posting more and more pictures, so I decided to start a blog just for pictures.

As for starting and maintaining I use Typepad http://www.typepad.com/ currently for my photoblog. Typepad is what I use for my regular blog and I just fiddled with it for my pictures. I eventually would like to set up my own photoblog away from TypePad, but I know absolutely nothing about web design and it is a little intimidating right now.

The best thing about it of course is that it forces me to get out there and take pictures.
