<Insert standard humble "I am a new photographer and not that great. I am just wanting to learn." comment here.>
Of course, most newbies actually have a lot of great stuff and are just downplaying their skills.
Me, on the other hand... I am just a noob. Not really that great, but I am wanting to hang out and learn.
Anyway, I will be checking in. If you want to take a look, I have some photos at
http://www.flickr.com/photos/burnviktm. Since I have a new kiddo, I haven't had much time to shoot other things, but there are a few there. I am not too happy with the pics from the zoo, but what the heck.
Stuff about me:
- I live in Forney.
- I am a server geek by profession.
- I have a 10 month old son and a beautiful wife.
- I can fit a United States Quarter in my nostril (or at least I could 20 years ago when I was fifteen).
- Oddly enough, I have also discovered that a human can carry a quarter in their nose for 20 years. (j/k :) )
- I shoot with a Nikon D80 (and usually my sb-600).
- I have a few lenses, but nothing too fancy. I am surprised that my inexpensive 50mm 1.8 gets such great photos.
- I really want to learn studio lighting, but I have a better chance of getting a condo on the moon than talking my wife into letting me drop a chunk of money on some strobes and other gear right now.
Anyway, see you folks around!
