:) :D
Hmmm.... where to start?!?
I've literally just gotten into photography about 7 months ago. Before that I've never even owned a camera (digital or otherwise). For my birthday, my fiance gave me the 300D (Ha!! Score!! I would've been very happy with a P&S!!!)
That's when the photography bug bit me, and now that's all I do. Since then my gear list has grown more and more, and my bank funds have gotten less and less (much to Ali, my fiance's dismay )! I try to shoot all kinds of subjects, but I think my favorite subjects are people and animals. Since a lot of the animal shots (wildlife) almost require you to have long glass, I've photographed people most.
For the most part, I've shot portraits but I'm also interested in getting in to fashion, editorials, and maybe even glamour. But for now, my fiance and my pets must continue to put up with me :)
My day job is genetic research. I am a scientist with the Human Genome Project at Baylor College of Medicine. I analyze sequence, or genetic makeup, of different organisms. To date, we have completed the human, the fruitfly, the rat, and now we are on to the mouse.
So, with all the left-brain thinking I do all day, it's nice to come home and unwind by doing some right-brain stuff like photography. I love it so far, and I find that it helps balance my personality.
Oh well, I think I've rambled on enough.
Here i am:
