Yellowstone's Lost Creek

A short hike behind Roosevelt Lodge where we stayed 4 nights. A very special place, nestled in a narrow box canyon with passive deer to keep you company. It isn't too popular and off the beaten path so we were the only ones there. Up about 100 yards is the falls, about 40' high.

Here's the falls. Still working on these, not totally satisfied with the results.

I like the first image. There's an nice path for the eye to follow, with the cascade curving down through the image and nicely framed by the rocks. The water shows motion but isn't too smooth, so you still get the impession that this is a rushing creek.

Nice job. The long exposure really brings the water to life.

I have never been to Yellowstone, but it is certainly at the top of my list. I might have to check out Rosevelt Lodge when I do finally make it. Thanks for sharing.
