La Jolla long exposure sunset shots... - 11-13-2009, 10:52 AM

Hey gang,

Just got back from a business trip to San Diego. Even with my Canon 30D shutter broke (would only take one shot before having to turn off and remove battery), I managed to get these shots:

Captured with a Canon 30D, Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, and a Cokin P-Wide filter holder and Hitec .6 and .9 (2 and 3 stop) Soft ND-Grad.

#1 17mm, 3 sec, f/14, ISO 100

#2 17mm, 4 sec, f/14, ISO 100

Thanks for looking!

Very serene images, Roy. Excellent long exposure images. I like the second image the best.

Thank you all for the comments. These are both single exposure and the 3/4 seconds give the effect but it's cruitial to use the multiple ND grads.
