Seasons Tree (Winter) - 02-15-2010, 10:07 AM

I have a couple of shots for the "winter" version of my Seasons Tree
and I would be interested to get opinions on which you might favor best.
Variations on color and post processing mostly, I just want to get a feel which, you might like best.

Thanks

I think it's great all three ways.

The second is my personal favorite (as far as PP), BUT-my eye wanders to the building/cars in the background. I prefer the background of the first photo.

Thanks Ash
I would agree the first BG is better.

The trouble for me is I like the way the tree looks at the other angle.

I agree, I love the tree from the angle in the 2nd and 3rd photos.

Maybe something could be done with the background in post processing? I'm not that experienced in PP, so I'm afraid I don't have any helpful ideas!
Maybe someone else has some suggestions?

I like the second one.. but remember that for a series like this to work, you need the same basic angle as the other seasons.

I did a similar study with a nearby creek, only I went every month... here's a link if you're interested. Fish Creek Project Brad Barton Photography

Wow Brad your series is great
love what you did there. Some of the summer spring versions
look a bit like Pandora. That is if you have seen Avatar.
Yea I am narrowing the angle for this I have this tree all kinda ways but these two angles are really good. Second angle for the tree and First angle for the BG.
I think I will compromise towards the first angle as it is stronger for the entire image. I also have many images from this angle.

Thanks much
