Mountain Barn - 04-06-2010, 10:36 PM

This one was taken in Tennessee last fall--just a week too late for the best color. It was a cold, rainy day, but when I saw this barn, I had to stop, climb a high hill and get wet taking it . I hope you like it as much as I do.

Very nice. At first glance I thought it was a painting! Especially with the way only some of the trees in the background have color and shape.

Wayne, beautiful image!!!!
I bet you were glad you went ahead and took the shot even under adverse conditions.
Were you able to get closer to the barn and shoot the American Flag hanging on the side?

I cant imagine what it would have looked like a week earlier. Definitely try and get back there next fall during peak. Because that is a great photo with the way you framed it

Yes, it is one of my favorite images. Actually I was on top of a hill shooting across a major 4-lane hiway and was unable to get closer.

I get that response quite often--I think the grey trees and the weather had something to do with it.

It is on my schedule to do again some day. It is in Tennessee, so it might be a while. Thanks for your comments.
