Jason, Casey, John,
thanks much. Each area we photographed had its own challenges.
The slot canyons presented a large range of lighting.

John Ford's point. Beautiful. Did you use some HDR here, Angelo.
For those of you who love MV, you must watch the movie, "The Searchers", John Waynes's best, IMO.

Lots of great shots! Looks like you did a watercolor tweak on the 2nd. I need to get to Arizona one of these days!

Great series.

I'd have titled no. 2 "My wife watching my backpack as I went deeper for "the shot.""

Great landscapes Angelo...beautiful colors and details...but if I had to choose one for framing and displaying, it would have to be #2...love the lighting and softness effects...plus it certainly should help for gaining approval for future photography trips...

They call these monuments Totem poles

Sedona area

Sedona area

A NP on our way back to Phoenix. Normally people cross the river by jumping on rocks but the water was so high that they had to find down trees.

And here's the boss and I.

No HDF on any of these shots.
Yes, I used Alien Skin on #2 to make it look like a painting. I have to remember your suggestion, to get this one framed and put over the mantle.
My wife is not a photographer but enjoys seeing the 'off the beaten path' areas so she doesn't mind {{{{much}}}. She also enjoys reading a lot so I bought her a Kindle reader. Ain't I smart?
And she's a trooper - she helps me change lenses so I don't get dust on the sensor.
