Bridge I want to shoot - 06-22-2010, 12:03 AM

I was driving out of town one day and I happened to glance off to the side of the road as I passed a small river and I noticed a train bridge off in the distance. I didn't see a way to get there without massing through private property, so I have not attempted to do anything with it yet. Tonight I remembered it and I googled it and found it and I see how to get to it now, so next chance I get I want to head back there and see if I can actually get to it and what it looks like up close.
Here are some google map shots from satellite view - it was too far away to see it in street view from the highway I was on. I really don't know how I managed to happen to see it.
One shows the bridge and the other shows its proximity to the highway....

One way is to find a local pilot that has access to one of the airplane clubs in Addison and it's about $150/hr to run the plane. If you split the cost with the pilot, then he gets one hour of flight time for 1/2 of the price. Some pilots would jump at that chance.

Very similar thing happened to me a couple of weekends ago ... I was driving out of town and happen to look out to my right and I saw this super cool, rustic, train bridge ... I tagged the location on my motionX GPS App and checked it out on google maps when I got home. this one is a lot easier to get to then yours though! but one of these days I want to head out there and take some shots of it!

Oh yeah! yours does look a lot easier to get to there. But, you would not have to worry about property owners in the immediate area messing with you there, it looks like.

You'll have to definitely get out there and shoot that one and post up how it looks from up close.

Mine is about an hour and a half away from me so I have to do some planning to get out there, and hopefully time it right to get some good light. Bad thing is that there is nothing else in the area that I could go and do if I needed to burn some time for the lighting to change.
