Great pics. #3 is my favorite. Love the slower shutter speed with the water!

Nice set TJ. I like how there's always a visual path through the image for the eye to wander over, it keeps the images from being static.

Alberta Falls - I really like the viewpoint here, the way the rapids are right in your face. Given the focal lenght I'm guessing you probably had your tripod right in the water. Excellent job of exposure blending, it doesn't have that photomatix look. I think I prefer the composition to the horizontal version in your blog.

Glacier Creek 1 - the super-wide FOV doesn't really work for me here. I feel like the upper right 2/3 of this image would have been more interesting on its own. Maybe I would feel differently looking at a larger version, where the sense of height would have more impact.

Glacier Creek 2 - I like this scene, with the creek slashing a diagonal line through the frame and the boulder and trees on the far bank. It sort of has a tonemapped look to it, though I can quite place my finger on why I think so.

Moraine Park Sunset - Really nice, it's my favorite shot of the set. I found shooting into the sun count-intuitive, but you've made it work here. I like the sunrise streaming over the distant hills, as well as the tones created by the light reflecting off the water. And you've got some nice back-lighting effects on the shrubs on the right.

Thanks all for your comments. I really appreciate them!

I find that shutter speeds around 1/15 ~ 1/8 sec. will blur the water but still leave enough detail to make it interesting. Shutter speeds that are too long will result in a white "fog" with little or no detail.

Absolutely wonderful shots TJ. Each has their own unique perspective and I like them all. And thanks for the tip on shooting the running water.
