North of Johnson City - 07-30-2010, 05:55 PM

Two from April as we were driving around. Sure wanted to see what was around the bend on the entry to the property. I remember noticing it out of the corner of my eye. Had to stop and back up. To get this I had to stand on one of the largest cattle guards I have seen. Leaning into the gate pushing the camera through the wrought-iron about to fall. One deep breath, click, click, click. On the second on, I kept looking for the train

Beautiful. Glad you decided to stop and back up. It's usually always worth it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Debbie, now let me tell ya'll the rest of the story. After leaving that spot we drove a little ways down and there was this huge area or holding pins for sheep. They were stacked almost wall to wall. Right next to them were cattle. Unbelievable site. The smell was coming into the truck, I stopped and backed up....just had to have a picture of this....the smell getting worse...grabbed my camera and open the door. I was choking and my wife was gaging. I quickly got back in the truck and took off. With windows down and air going we could not get rid of the smell! After some time we got back to our staying place and we were still smelling it in our cloths. Off they come and in the shower we go. Had a real time getting it out of my nose. Had to wash and air out the truck (son inlaws) for a few more hours. I just couldn't get that picture done. Maybe next time it will be a drive-by pic.

Wow! Hummm......well maybe some pictures should be shot from inside the truck with the windows rolled up!!!! Never heard of that kind of holding pen.
