This past Saturday was a beautiful day for hiking on that big mound of granite. Weather in the mid-70s, not a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze coming from the south. Shooting towards the north provided for some amazing blue sky. Was with two other hikers, so hiking was the priority of the day, not playing photo safari. The sun wasn't in my favor being there from noon to 2:30, but it still provided for some nice opportunities. Here's some snapshots to enjoy.
We were lucky enough to come across a couple that was repelling. Amazing, 30-45 minutes to prepare...30 seconds to descend. Seems like a lot of work for such a short ride.
The hill in the distance is where the repelling was being done.
The ants go marching one by one, hooray...
I intentionally broke the horizon rule on this image...just liked all the downward lines.
My wife said this reminded her of a beached whale when we saw this spot.
Enjoying the view.
I am posting this snapshot to be as "Have Text, Will Travel". My wife will text just about anywhere.
