Very nice images Ron. I like them all, if I had to vote, I would pick #1. I am also retired and probably nuts, because I get up early even when I don't have too.

Thanks Carl for viewing and leaving your comment...always enjoy reading them...I guess after having to get up for 44 years and go to work that I've got a built in alarm clock that just automatically goes off at 5 AM every morning...

I like the pictures Ron... especially first one... I may be inclined to try and crop the sky in it and see how it looks...

Ron, thanks for posting the edit. I am not sure which I prefer anymore... the crop looks more balanced but there is something about the original that I like too... :-) Sorry, not much help... If I had to pick one, it would probably be the crop... Thanks!

You know...I like the crop better as for the sky, but a bit more on the left (putting the sun in the right third) to remove the lights on the right. Seems the tree line is more interesting to the left and with the height of the trees it may seem a bit more balanced that way also.
Just my novice opion.

Thanks Vibhav and Fred for reviewing the revised crop version and your comments...I believe that I like this one over the original one...as for moving it to right/left, I choose this angle to try to capture the full span of the sun rays coming off of the clouds...I agree that moving it a little to the left would remove the lights...unfortunately there are quite a few unwanted lighting structures and lights in the photo...I'm just not advanced enough yet working with healing brushes to remove these and keep the photo looking presentable...again thanks for your comments and suggestions...
