Here are some sunset photos shot on 1/26/2011...these were shot in Baytown off of Evergreen Road looking out across San Jacinto River and Houston Ship Channel...hope you enjoy...comments always welcomed...

One of the bonuses to an evening trip to see the Baytown Eagles is the drive around Evergreen to see the sunset. You have captured it well here (pun intended). Of course the relation between the position of the sun to the bridge depends on the time of year.

I agree with popawalker, I always admire the colors in the sunsets after visiting the eagles. You did a nice job of capturing those colors. Well done.

I have been using The Photographer's Ephemeris | Plan your shoot to help plan a few shoots so I know the direction of the sunrise/sunset or moonrise/moonset plus times for a particular location.

Ron, Nice colors and composition you captured, Maybe an Grad ND filter ( .03 soft) placed just above the wellhead would have brought up the foreground detail while maintaining the sky colors.
