The last one is my favorite, although the top part of that photo seems to distract my eyes. My opinion is to just crop the top part out.

However (just some crit here) the images seem way over sharpened or something odd about them. Maybe it is the effect you did on the photo or some HDR technique. I think it works for the last picture, but the others it really distracts the image and makes it hard to lead my eyes.

Then again I am not a fan of HDR photos so it maybe be. Just my 2 cents.

BTW how long were you in China? Thats on my list of places to go. I would love to hear your experience!

I have been there multiple times, I love to travel the world.

But this last time I was in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Suzhou.

I like the lines and the composition in #1. Really strong pic! #2 feels a bit heavy on the processing but it's still a pretty picture. Are those two HDR? I feel like #4 would be a much stronger pic without that darn little tree there! When did you go?

You pretty much can't look in any direction in a city in China and not see something interesting to shoot. At least to our western eyes. If you don't see an interesting shot then take 5 steps.

I lived in Changchun (way up north) for the year of 2001-2002. I traveled all over during that time. I also spent 6 weeks in Hefei in '96 and a month in Macau, Hong Kong and Southern China in 2007. I can't get enough of pretty much any country in Asia. My last two trips were to Korea in '08 and '10 but right now I'm planning to go back to Macau/southern China in the summer of 2012.

Sorry...kinda rambling. :)
