Critique: CC:

The weather was perfect and the wind went away for one glorious day of camping this past Saturday at Inks Lake.

Landscapes and nature are most definitely NOT my strong point! Nevertheless... here are a few shots from Saturday:

Not a landscape but I didn't want to make a whole separate post just for this one baby goose pic. :)

Nice images. I went there a few years ago and got no good pictures... Didn't enjoy myself while I was there so I just wanted to get home, might be why!

Thanks, I didn't get a chance to take the hike up the river bed that I usually take. Lots of nice dramatic rocks and cliffs there. I was kinda bummed that I didn't get to do it. Would have made for some good pics.

Inks Lake has to be one of the nicest and most well-maintained campgrounds in the state.

Brad, I, too, was at Inks Lake SP this past weekend... once the wind died down a bit Friday evening, it was really nice weather. We did some exploring around the park Friday evening and early Saturday morning, but mostly used it as a base to see some other places. We, too, have stayed there before and had a good experience. Thanks for sharing your shots! I'm not much good at landscapes like your first one...

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks.

Thanks. I was pleased that they showed up when they did to provide some foreground interest.

The baby goose and the first sunset are my favorites.

Inks Lake SP is also one of our favorite state parks. We have spent many Spring Breaks and Fall Breaks there. My kids get a week out of school in October, Inks is great then. We love camping along the lakeside and getting out in the canoe up to Devil's Waterhole.

Seems a lot of people really enjoyed Inks lake and I am the odd man out. I think it was probably the company I was with. Guess I need to give it a second chance.
