Big Bend Trip This Past Week

The smoke from the Alpine and Fort Davis Fires as well as the one in Mexico made for quite a challenge this past week in Big Bend. They had not had rain since September and conditions were ripe for wildfires. Here are a few this trip....many more to come.

But, other than that, I really like the view from the Window!

I was happily suprised that day at Santa Elena. The winds changed that day so the sky was clear. This was my second attempt during the trip. The first time, the smoke diffused the sun coming up so much that the canyon walls did not glow.
