Hi, Jennifer, I have been enjoying your Big Bend pictures. It is one of my favorite places...

I think that your first picture here would actually look good as a pano type crop - - keeping the full width and trimming the bottom just below the bush skeleton in the foreground and trimming away about half of the sky - - I think it would really emphasize the layered look of the mountains in the distance without having much of the blank sky.

The second shot here makes it look like it was really a hot one! We were there this past August - - the river was so high that you could not get into the Santa Elena canyon, but it looks in your shot like it was as hot as it felt that day.

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks.

It was hot.. at least hot enough for me. Temps got to 100 at the peak of the day. Mornings were still not to bad - at least they started in the 60's. You were lucky to have gone in August. They have not had rain since September.

Thank you for the suggestions. Here is the revision...

My favorite place in the world, you did a great job in capturing the essence of the park! My only suggestion/comment would be on the image you took with the Mule's Ears, I can't tell if the black dot on the left side of the image, right under the peak is a bird or a spot on your lens. It might help clean up the image if you could touch that up to go away. ;)

Regardless, nicely done!

I like the pano crop of the first image much better than the original.

Nice. I really like the pano crop. I think I would remove the bird. How did you balance the exposure on #2?
