Oxbow Bend - Post Your Interpretation - 06-15-2011, 05:37 PM

Critique: CC:

Awhile back we had a lot of fun with several dozen of us posting our photo interpretation of the scene at Moulton Barn in Grand Teton National Park.

After the barns, probably the second most photographed site in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is Oxbow Bend. Thus, I'm fairly sure many of you have taken this shot at sometime in your photo journey....

With that in mind, I'll start by sharing a shot I took last June at Oxbow. And as always, C & C are always welcome and appreciated.

How about sharing your shot of this location in this thread?

I was there a couple of years ago, but now after seeing your picture, I'm ready to go back. Mine isn't nearly as good as yours. :)

Thanks for sharing your shot, Michael. I always enjoy seeing how others shoot at the same location. Looks like you were farther west than I was when you took this....

I haven't been, but my dad sent me a beautiful picture that he took last year on vacation. I can't share it since it isn't mine, but it looked almost as good as the picture of the rocking chair he made

Thanks Jeff. I just love that area. I hope to go back sometime and take some even better images. I really like the two above mine. Very nice.

To be honest, I was in such awe of the place, I'm lucky I got any shots. I was so busy taking it all in there were times I forgot to put the camera up to my eye. I have to go back! It is only a matter of when.

Here's the Oxbow Bend at night last September. The bright light to the right is a car and the arc in the sky is an airplane on approach to Jackson Hole.
