Critique: NC:

Recently returned from a trip to New Mexico. Tried my hand at astral photography of the milky way. I thought they turned out ok. What do you think?

SWEET!!!!
Where were you at? Carlsbad is a good place to shoot "up"
So is the area near the VLA.

I like #2 -- the foreground really adds to the sky.

In a place called El Povinier canyon outside of Las Vegas. Very pretty place to shoot.

I never went there, but I have been to Las Vegas. I stayed in old downtown in a historic hotel. It's easy to forget about the modern world when you stay there (I loved it!) I went north from there, up into the mountains to Elizabethtown.

What a great area!

My favorite place on earth! You really captured some beautiful images - I particularly like the 2nd and 3rd shots.

If you check the EXIF on Flickr, you can see that was the lens used. I've used mine for these shots too, and it works great.

Where do you see the lens type?
I can see in the EXIF data that one was 16mm, but I don't see any lens info.
