Windmill sunset in the Organ Mountains - 07-10-2011, 07:51 PM

Critique: NC:

Here are a few shots of the sunset last week near Las Cruces, New Mexico. I captured a lot of images, varying the sun's position, or the framing of the windmill. Of course, I get home with a bunch of images only slightly different. These are from early in the sunset. I haven't gotten around to the later ones, yet.

In the first image, there is visible a sign on the windmill, that says "please do not shoot the windmill". If you look at a closeup, you can see that the tail and the rotors are riddled with bullet holes.

I selected NC because there are more than 3 pics here, but any comments are welcome.

Very nice images, Paul. I like the composition of image two, and the colors in images three and four. One thing that is a small nit to me is the center pipe coming down from the windmill tower is not vertical in a couple of the images (or maybe it's me).

Thanks, John. I've got to watch those verticals, and horizontals.
