Last week of June I took a little trip to "my country" along hiway 90 & 170 & grabbed a few snaps along the way. Where the Pecos meets the Rio Grande(actually now a part of Amstad Ressy.  Pecos River Bridge   Wow this pix looks crappy-don't know why as my 8x10 looks fine. Anyway this is the "devils graveyard" or "Badlands" in the NP.  "Water-front" home in Contrabando.  "The Saloon" front & back in Contrabando.   Approaching "The Hill" (Hiway 170{River Road})  Contrabando view of the Rio.  Looking west from "The Hill" through a telephoto. Thks Fred! Yep no clouds & extremely hot!!! LOL the only one with a hint of clouds was the one that was crap, still don't know why it came out that way on the post. Hey Wayne, that is a roadside park at the base of "the Hill". After ascending & then descending that huge 15 degree grade hill, a lot of people need a rest!!  --------------------------- lhdvries |
