Nice! I too like the mixture of clouds and starts. I was at Joshua Tree in May but in the middle of the day. Next time I plan on being there either at sunrise or sunset.

Very nice, lovely looking sky.

I'd clone/crop out the marker in the bottom of the frame though. ;-)

Love the sky. Wish there was a huge Joshua Tree in the foreground, though. Especially in the empty space on the left.

Sam, beautiful shot. One of the places to go next time I'm in California.

Do you think it's about time to get your sensor cleaned???
O, those are stars....

thanks guys. i actually left my tripod at home and i used a car as a tripod. i know the framing sucks but thats all i had to work with.

my sensors clean, those are stars. i went for the meteor shower but the moon light killed any chances of seeing meteors.

Very nice sky - I too would have liked to see a J-tree in the landscape.

Neat pic. What time was it and how long was the exposure? Does not seem long... but ground looks like daylight. Very interesting.

I second this question. It would be awesome if you could share how you did this. I am struggling with my night shots. If the shutter isnt open long enough, its to dark and if its open to long the stars streak.
