Road Trip - Garden of the Gods - 08-27-2011, 08:35 AM

Critique: CC:

Just returned from a LONG road trip with the wife and kids up to Montana. Our first stop was Colorado Springs and we got there just in time to see the Garden of the Gods before the sun went down. It was amazing and I can't wait to go back when I have more time. Here are a few shots. We drove through some amazing places. I'll post more when I get over the trip hangover and actually sit down and edit.

This one was just as we were entering Colorado. I love taking photos of clouds. Took this driving 85 mph and it's strange how you can see right through the posts on the side of the road.

I love the colors of the sky in #2. Although, I think my favorite is the last one. I like the sense of movement with the blurriness in the bottom right corner and the sweeping clouds. This is a great series!

I am in love with #2, but something about the wispy clouds...draws me to the last one :) Very nice!

That first one really draws me in with I think a silver camper in the trees.

I like the 3-dimensional sense that #2 gives.

I was happy with the result because I didn't think I would get the 3-dimensional view that I was seeing with my eyes. It was such an awesome view.

It has been years since I was at the Garden of the Gods - you captured some great light there. Your images brought back some very nice memories. Nicely done!

Nice captures, I have to vote for the last as the clouds make the scene.
