I'm about 20 miles from the Magnolia fires. The sky has been filled with smoke all day today, and this was the sun about 1/2 hour ago.

very nice, as Michael said the colors are great. I also like the framing you used with the trees and the inclusion of the bird as a good finishing touch. I might want to play with the crop a bit to see if I could improve it some, knowing full well that it might not.

Stay safe!

Very nice Suzanne...you can really get some neat photos of the sun with all the smoke haze...ditto Ken's remark...do hope that you are not impacted by all the fires in your area...

Thank you all. I think we're far enough away from the Magnolia fires so I hope we're ok from that. But I still worry that some spark from a BBQ or a tossed cigarette could set us ablaze here. It's so dry everywhere. Scary stuff going on all over Texas. Everyone stay safe!!

It looks more like a planet than the sun because of the swirling color differences. It is really neat :)

The fires this year have been bad. When I first moved to Texas in 1981, there was the Memorial Day floods that year which they still talk about. 30 years later, they now will be talking about the Labor Day fires for years to come.
