Love the lighting and contrasting shadows of the first shot. The second one seems a little flat. I'm thinking it's the lighting, but I'm sure you don't really have any control over that.

They were going to offer photo tours in the cavern, but I don't know it that took or not.

I haven't gone into the cavern, but love the area and teh CCC buildings there.

I talked to them about the photo tour, and they never had enough people to go, they wanted a minium of 8 people at 35 per person. I would go if they ever do offer it again.

I agree with Andy that the CC architecture there is great.

Chris, I like your first shot... it really does cause the cave structures to stand out.

Thanks for the comments. I agree the first is much better than the second. The first was taken with me elevated aiming straight at the walls of the cave, the second was more of me pointing the camera up, didn't capture like I wanted it to. The lighting was tough, but it's a cave. I used only the lighting they had in place, no on or off camera flash.

That gives me a chuckle. Photographers use this term the same as telling someone on a speakerphone they sound like they're in a well.

But you were in a cave!
